Meteorology Math for beginners

For years I was searching for a meteorology text which would explain in simple terms the mathematical aspects of synoptic meteorology in terms that I could understand. This book has really helped me understand the mathematics behind the dynamics and forecasting that I have been using for 20 years.

Excellent book. Very applicable to synoptic scale forecasting. Excellent treatment of dynamics. I am not sure why the author ordered the chapters the way he did - - I might suggest a couple other different ways to structure the material, which prevents it from being 5 stars, but it is still a good text.

This is a great textbook! Clear diction that is precise but avoids unnecessary jargon. I love that it's paperback, since it's still high quality but saves some money.
