As a couples therapist, I have long suggested Stan Tatkin’s books to my clients as an significant part of therapy and their ongoing journey as a couple. Now Stan has presented the perfect companion for those clients who have not yet paired up, are in the beginning stages of pairing up, or even those who are in relationship but want to deepen their understanding of attraction, commitment and longterm success in relationship. In this new book, Stan offers the “science” of attachment, neurobiology, arousal systems along with practical skill based exercises to guide the reader in the picking, vetting, dating and committing process. Stan’s natural ability to relate his brilliance and interpersonal self is felt on every page of this book! I highly recommend it to anyone who is interested in the journey of dating.

Dr. Tatkin's Books Helped Us Create the Best Relationship!

I love all of Dr. Stan Tatkin's work and have also read Wired for Love and listened to his entire audio program, Your Brain on Love. I highly, highly recommend his books and have interviewed him on my radio show and YouTube channel 4 times now, which is probably more than anyone else in the 8 years the show has been on the air. Wired for Dating will give you a basic understanding of attachment types, helpful stories that provide some context, and exercises to give you practice and insight into your reactive patterns in dating and relationships. Dr. Tatkin's work has transformed my relationship and I have finally been able to create a "secure functioning" relationship within a "couple bubble" that gives me and my partner the secure attachment we didn't get as kids. We both feel so grateful to have discovered his material and I wish this stuff was common knowledge. This is very different from other books on dating because of the psychobiological approach. The explanation of different attachment styles and how it relates to understanding the connection between the couple from the beginning to ongoing relationships is so clear and the case examples make it very relatable. The exercises are explicit and easy to follow. I especially appreciated the chapter teaching people how to calm their partner's nervous system as well as their own. I will highly recommend this book to friends and therapy clients, to those are dating and as an adjunct to Wired for Love.

Actually, I just love the way that Penelope Quest writes and the ideas and suggestions that she gives in among all of the instruction as to how to do Reiki. She is easy to follow, knowledgeable and explains it all rather well. I have three of her books now and have not been disappointed in any of them.

Ridiculous price for such costly error. I'm in the beginning stages of reading through this book as required text...Chapter 3, Page 102…the author mentions the tragic shooting involving "twenty grade school students and six educators from Newtown, Massachusetts"…the worst school tragedy in U.S. history and he misses the mark…it was Newtown, CT!!! Get your facts straight before going to publication. This reference hits some of us close to home and on a personal level….
Not sure who the editor was or if he does his own "fact" checks….makes me wonder what other important details are being treated in this way.

Delivers as promised, a painless and inspiring intro to WinPhon programming

This book delivers what is promised in the title, after you've gone through the book you will feel confident enough to program in the Windows Phone 7 environment. The author is clear and encouraging, providing sample code and art but gives you the tools needed to take the next step and create your own. I had followed other tutorials about app development and each glossed over the creation of images; this pointed me in the right direction to make my own.
As this is an introductory book, it has a `light touch' and doesn't go into any one topic too deeply. This allows you to get some projects started so you have a good feel for the programming environment.
Highly recommended.

Very solid book

Great walkthrough on xna dev. One of the books I'm recommending now in my talks on Windows Phone Dev. In typical SAMS 24 fashion, it walks you through a step by step methodology of learning to write xna. Good stuff.
