Summary: 4x5 trumps 3:2

This is nothing more that the content of a 3-page editorial drawn out into a brief and unworthy ebook. The author has some beautiful landscapes to share, but the the hyper-critical rant against an aspect ratio he doesn't like gets old fast.
Enjoy your DSLR and use a crop tool when you think necessary.

Creative Potential of Changing Aspect Rations

This book should change the perspective many landscape photographers regarding the impact of aspect ratio on their compositions. Most of us who are committed to the 35mm format don't think much about aspect ratio. Bruce Percy graphically illustrates that many photographs are better suited to the 4x5 or often square aspect ratios. These formats not only permit exclusion of unwanted picture elements but more importantly change the relative position of objects with in the frame. Percy's writing is as compelling as his photographs.
Simplifying Compositions - Aspect Rations will better inform cropping decisions in post processing with software even if the photographer is committed to the 35mm format.
